At Ocean Geophysics, we are ramping up our in-house software development team and delivering software and creating automated processes that improve the speed and quality of processing, interpretation and reporting of our clients’ survey data, making our geophysicists’ lives easier.
Software development efforts have been progressing at pace under the guiding hand of Dr Nicholas Spong. Nick is a data processing expert who obtained his PhD in experimental physics from Durham University and is currently researching experimental quantum computing platforms. Nick has extensive experience solving challenging physical problems, interfacing equipment, analysing enormous datasets, and producing beautiful reports.
The software team develop and maintain a core set of automated systems that support Ocean Geophysics’ ability to provide high-quality, assured outputs faster than the competition, often at the push of a button. Under our software development roadmap, we are scaling and integrating these systems to create a unified data processing platform that seeks to redefine industry expectations of data processing quality, standardisation and timeliness.
