MANAGER.

Prospective candidates must be willing to relocate to Chiang Mai, Thailand, as this role is office-based and centred in this vibrant city.

ABOUT THE ROLE.

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Head of IT Operations to oversee and optimize our company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and service desk operations. As we continue to grow, it is imperative that our network, hardware, and systems are cohesive, efficient, and tailored to the needs of our data processing teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations management, with expertise in a wide range of areas, including network administration, hardware management, infrastructure management, NAS management, backups, service desk management, environment normalization, inventory management, procurement, facilities management, power management, UPS, and more.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Network Administration and Security: Design, implement, and maintain a secure and reliable network topology to support business operations.
Hardware and Infrastructure Management: Manage hardware resources, infrastructure components, and facilities to ensure efficiency, standardization, and compliance.
Service Desk Management: Oversee the service desk function, serving as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues and ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and systems.
Procurement and Vendor Management: Manage procurement processes for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business needs.
Support existing teams: Continuously improve our systems to respond to evolving business needs and tailor infrastructure.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS.

ESSENTIAL

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience in IT operations management, with expertise in the key areas outlined above.
Strong technical skills across a wide range of IT disciplines including hardware, software and Linux / Windows.
Self-starter with excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
You MUST have the right to live and work in Thailand

DESIRABLE

Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, ITIL) are a plus.
Experience with ISO 9001, qualifications are also desirable.
Ansible or similar orchestration software.
Proficient in Thai & English.
